"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence therefore is not an act but a habit." Aristotle (Greek philosopher and polymath)

Welcome to Year 6

Term 4
This term our enquiry is: Who were the greatest inventors: the Ancient Britons or the Victorians? To explore this question, the children are going to be engineers and historians. As historians, we are investigating how Britain changed from the Stone Age to the Iron Age - with a focus on important inventions of the time. We will then compare and contrast these to Victorian engineering feats, including the invention of the steam engine. As engineers, we will experiment with different ways to strengthen, stiffen or reinforce a structure.
