"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence therefore is not an act but a habit." Aristotle (Greek philosopher and polymath)
Welcome to Year 6

Term 5
This term our enquiry is: Why are shadows important? To explore this question, the children are going to be scientists and artists. As scientists, we will be looking at how light travels and how it helps us see the world around us. We will investigate how shadows change based on the light source and why shadows have the same shape as as the objects that cast them. As artists, we will use different techniques to create shadows and we will look at how artists use shadows to create layers and depth in their work.
